“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.” ~ Lao Tzu
Thank you for all your well wishes on both my blogs! As you can see, the first change is the look of the blog. I decided it needed a fresh look, and this is the theme I picked for now.
Health Update
My shoulder is healing but I really do have to take it easy. Not too much computer work, writing or gardening to make sure it heals fully. That means I am still on a break, but I will have an anniversary post next week to celebrate the blog and changes going into year 7. And then depending on how I feel, I may have an end of the month post. But I don’t expect to be back fully until October~I hope!
I am enjoying my rest, and will continue to visit you on your blogs, although I really can’t comment too much due to computer limitations with my shoulder.
Hello, dear Donna! The new look of your blog is lovely, indeed very fresh and airy.
I wish you good health and a happy autumn, with lots of bright leaves and sunny days. 🙂
Hugs!
So glad you enjoyed the new look of the blog! And wishing you a wonderful autumn…
Hope you feel completely better soon, Donna! 🙂
Thanks Loredana…slowly but surely I am getting better!
Hi Donna,
I saw your post on FB, and came over. I am so behind on blog reading now that I spend so much time there. I have just been posting for Gail’s Wildflower Wednesday, which is once a month.
I love the sunflower photo! I hope you are all healed up soon. I myself have had aches and pains due to falling clear back in January. I am pretty much healed now, but need to get back to my exercises for the tennis elbow.
I am far behind as well Sue! I hope to be back linking in with Gail soon. Keeping good thoughts for your continued healing too…
Donna, your new look is fantastic!
Enjoy your rest and we will be looking forward to your recovery and (Yay!) return!
Thanks so much Brenda…glad you enjoyed the new look!
Love the clean lines, and fresh new look. Perfect for moving into a new season.
Glad to hear Jen…the clean lines drew me to this theme….and yes, a change for the new season!!
Glad to hear you are healing and recovering.
Slow and steady – so your shoulder holds flexible and strong in the future.
Exactly Diana..thanks for the good wishes!
(Saw this among the 5 latest posts on my blogroll … but it isn’t coming thru to Feedly. Tested it with your Feedly button too … stuck on your hiatus post)
I went to Feedly today and prompted it so it should come through now. Let me know if it doesn’t come through again…I appreciate knowing. It may have something to do with blog changes I made.
Yes – sorted!
Very good!
Hope you heal completely and feel better soon!!
Until then – take it easy 🙂
And thank you for the beautiful sunflower photo, Donna!
My pleasure and with all these well wishes I can only get better faster!
I like it! a new theme is a fresh start for (nearly) autumn/fall – maybe give you the impetus to heal quicker?! best wishes Donna
I think it does give me a fresh burst Laura…thanks!
A refresh before Winter is a great idea. Your new look lifted my spirits as I faced a damp, grey day outside.
Oh I am so glad it lifted your spirits too my friend!
Get well. Get well. GET WELL!
How wonderful John…with well wishes like that how can I do anything but get well soon!
Donna, I love your new look and am glad to hear that your shoulder is feeling better. Continue to rest and heal. The photograph of the sunflower is beautiful!
Thanks Lee, and I will keep resting up my shoulder!
It was good to hear from your, Donna, if only briefly. Best wishes with the healing process and happy Labor Day!
So glad to hear from you too Kris…thanks!
Good to hear from you, Donna. I like your new look and 7 years is impressive! Heal well and see you when you are fully operational. 🙂
I can hardly believe I am going into year 7…and thanks for the well wishes Eliza!
Donna, just take it nice and slowly and get that shoulder back into shape. Thinking of you!
Oh thanks so much for the kind thoughts Cathy….and I will take time to rest!
My mom had a shoulder surgery and two hip replacements, she said the shoulder was the worst. Healing takes a long time. Rest up and come back when you can.
A wise woman your mom…I will take my time Janet…thanks!
Oh, such a refreshing look for your website! I hope you are refreshed in body and spirit, too.
Getting there Kathy…and so glad you like the new look!
Love the new look of the blog, Donna! I’m glad you’re enjoying the break and healing. I’ve been thinking about you every day and looking forward to our collaboration in the months ahead. 🙂
I am looking forward as well Beth…and what a lovely thing to say…you are often in my thoughts too….we should chat again soon!
Hi Dona – poor you on the shoulder and woo hoo you on the new look blog it’s fabulous! Hope you are back to fighting fit soon 🙂
Wren x
Oopsie excuse me Donna, I wanted to correct the spelling 🙂
No problem Wren…I am getting back to my fighting fit self slow but sure!
I love the fresh new look of your blog! I also love the photo and the quote that you opened this post with. I get angry and frustrated at the changes that come with getting old, not realizing that to be happier, I just need to accept it and go with the flow.
It has been the best thing I have done for myself Alison…letting go and going with the flow. But it isn’t easy!
Hi Donna, well wishes coming your way and hope for a speedy recovery! I love your new blog look, I have been wondering about doing the same but I am worried about how all my old posts will look as any change in blog layout on blogspot will affect previous posts – so I haven’t dared touch anything.
I hope you are back here soon, take good care of yourself, Helene.
I worried about the same thing Helene when I switched…so glad you like the new look and and thanks for the well wishes.
Get well soon Donna. I’m glad you are properly resting!
Thanks so much for popping by!
Love the new look!
Glad you like it Jean!
Love the new look Donna – lighter, crisper, much more clarity. I can hear it all in your voice. I hope the shoulder heals nicely. Enjoy the rest and maybe just maybe incorporate more rest into your new routine once your back in tip top shape? No overdoing it!
Absolutely as I overdid it a bit (no harm just a bit achey) yesterday since I was feeling better…getting to know my limits!
Donna, glad to see you are on the mend. Changes, tell me about it these later years in life are certainly bringing them our way also. Your new look is like a breath of fresh air.
Thanks so much Alistair…still mending but hope to catch up soon!
I like the new look!
Glad to hear it Jason!
Take really good care of yourself Donna, health is the most important thing.
Indeed it is Christina..thank you for your well wishes!
Love your blog’s new ‘do,’ Donna. Continue to rest and heal. Don’t attempt to answer this posting — just rest. P. x
The river of change is our friend as well as our enemy.
Absolutely
How is it going?
Hope you are making good progress, and able to enjoy life.
I am mending nicely Diana…even did a bit of garden clean up which did set me back a bit but I can see things are healing nicely again….reading lots and definitely enjoying life. I hope to be back soon!
Hi Donna, I’ve been thinking about you and your shoulder and wondering how you and your garden are getting on? Missing your ‘Stuck Foot’ posts!
Well things are going well and I am mending….a repetitive stress injury takes so long to heal and little use of that shoulder is a must but not easy….the garden is slowly emerging as am I…missing everyone Eliza. Thank you for reaching out.
