“Well, who doesn’t want the sun after the long winter?”
~Mary Oliver
This weekend was sunny after clouds, snow and rain last week. So I took advantage of the sun and cold day in the 40s to fill the containers. I mostly container garden at our rental townhouse. And it was time to wander our little garden and plant some early seeds.

The dwarf spreading forsythia is finally blooming in its pot after three years. Love the yellow. Made the garden even sunnier. It is the only part of my old garden I brought with me that survived. Just a little baby plant now getting bigger.

The yellow trumpet daffodils finally bloomed. Not many this year maybe due to the winter we had. So I cut only 3 of the 4. I always like to leave one for the garden.

Yellow is the perfect color to symbolize spring. It can mean sunshine, happiness, optimism, and creativity. These daffs will bring the spring sunshine and fragrance inside all week.
