“Of course everything is blooming most recklessly: if it were voices instead of colors, there would be an unbelievable shrieking into the heart of the night.” ~Rainer Maria Rilke
This past week was busy with appointments and working on my continuing physical therapy. This leaves me limited, for now, especially with gardening. So I am choosing to highlight this vase of pretty miniature pink roses my husband bought me for my birthday.

I love the perfect form and muted pink. It is that time in the spring garden where we are trying to get more seeds and plants planted as spring rushes soon to a close, and summer begins.

In our book, A Journey of Seasonal Wisdom, Beth of PlantPostings and I are reminded as spring comes to a close, “…it’s quick, a surge, almost a dash…” (Painting Spring, Donna Donabella p.58).
So take time to savor your garden. Or get out in nature. Enjoy the sights, smell and sounds of spring. Feel the warm breezes and the scents of grass or flowers opening. The bird songs reaching a fever pitch. Summer is right around the corner….or maybe it is already here in your neck of the woods.

If you have bought our book, we would love it if you would leave a review on Amazon, or just let us know how you are finding it so far. We appreciate all your support.
With this vase, I am linking in with the wonderful meme, In A Vase On Monday, from Cathy at Rambling in the Garden. All the pictures of the vase shared in this post were taken with my iPhone camera, and enhanced with the Prisma app.
