“The greatest gift of life is friendship, and I have received it.” ~Hubert H. Humphrey
As the new year begins, I have one more Christmas gift to share. A beautiful gift from a beautiful friend. A vase of flowers. Simple and yet it touches my heart so deeply.
Those of us who couldn’t be with family, gathered at our house for Christmas Eve and Christmas to share a meal, some drinks and conversation. And most of all friendship, connection.
The greatest gift of course is the friendship these folks have given me. Whether they are new to our community or have been with us a long time. Their kindness, caring and love has carried me since living here during COVID, and as I heal from some health issues that prevent us from traveling and seeing our family.
These red roses (and carnations) symbolize the love we all share. And I can’t think of a better way to spend the season than steeped in their love. Sharing that love with you all today. Wishing you peace and love as we start the New Year! Spread it around generously. And Happy New Year!
With this vase, I am joining in with the wonderful meme, In A Vase On Monday, from Cathy at Rambling in the Garden. Thank you Cathy for this lovely meme and for you! Sending you much love!
