I do miss the ocean. I have never lived close to the ocean except as a child in my first 5 years when we lived near to the Jersey Shore. New Jersey that is. But ponds, lakes, streams, rivers and creeks have been my water in the meantime. I still crave the ocean though, and do get there every so many years. It is still not enough.
But the white foamy flowers of this amazing bush remind me of foamy waves or white caps. I guess as close to the ocean as I’ll get for a while. It is called, Proven Winner Firelight Tidbit. It does not disappoint with an amazing display of flowers. This year’s blooming has been incredible with every inch of the bush full of blooms. Unfortunately, they are turning pink already and soon will be a deep pink.
But I wanted to get those that were still white for a vase.
I thought I would add the seed heads from the clematis, Chacewater for a bit of whimsy.
I do love the look of a bouquet of white flowers with some greenery.

I have to look for that Hydrangea! Not that I have much luck with anything in the species but it’s worth a try.

What a strikingly white hydrangea, Donna, even if they are now turning pink! And those pretty clematis seedheads too – so cute, Hydrangeas here have really suffered in the heat and we won’t know till next year if they have survived
