“If you’re not barefoot, then you’re overdressed.” –Unknown
Finally this week we may be getting the summer heat everywhere else in the world is experiencing. We blessedly were spared but it is here. So I thought I would highlight the color white as summer begins here. With heat, wearing white and going barefoot were mandatory in my childhood.

The color white symbolizes new beginnings. Perfect with summer’s start. These white lilies are sadly not from my garden. But were a gift from my dear husband.

Only three stems that were covered in so many buds. They opened slowly and beautifully. Lasting for weeks.

With this vase, I am linking in with the wonderful meme, In A Vase On Monday, from Cathy at Rambling in the Garden.
